Philomena Bake Shop is a gluten-free, vegan bakery with a strong wholesale presence and a growing retail storefront in Slavic Village. We are growing across both retail and wholesale—and you could be the difference-maker in our next chapter.

We are a small team of great people running a high volume kitchen. A new person joining us should be energetic, reliable (showing up is important), understands that work in a food business is often physically demanding and messy, and enjoys crossing items off a list.

  • Part-time. Thursday and Friday shifts available. Experience required. Potential for growth!

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Decorating cakes and baked goods for our wholesale accounts and retail display case

    • Executing consistent, production-level designs with speed and accuracy

    • Piping and finishing work using buttercream

    • Maintaining a clean, organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards

    • Supporting the team with additional tasks as needed

    What We're Looking For

    • Professional food service experience required — this is not an entry-level role

    • Strong piping and buttercream skills; you can work clean and work fast

    • Ability to replicate designs consistently across a production run

    • Comfort in a small-batch, from-scratch bakery environment

    • Dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player

    • Experience with gluten-free or vegan baking is a plus, but not required — we'll teach you our products
